For The Children Of The Past is a world quest available in Sumeru.
Your objective is to head towards Marana’s Avatar to eliminate it.
Here’s a walkthrough of For the Children of the Past in Genshin Impact.
Follow Arama into Old Vanarana
From the start, you have to follow Arama closely. You will get be hurt by corrosion if you don’t stay within the green aura emitted by Arama.
Stay within the green circle and you won’t gain corrosion.
Obtain Inscription of Remembrance
There are 3 spots where you have to obtain the Inscription of Remembrance. The first one is in the house.
Continue ahead following Arama. You will encounter lots of enemies throughout this quest as you journey alongside Arama.
Here, you will get the second Inscription.
After you’re done, continue ahead and take out the enemies.
Obtain the third Inscription of Remembrance.
Continue forward
Next, jump down with Arama and make your way down slowly while avoiding corrosion.
You will come across more enemies on the way.
Eventually you’ll reach a sandy area. Take out the Ruin Guard first.
Arama will intervene to defeat the tumor as there’s no Dendrograna.
Try to lift the seal
There are seven stones / seals you need to find in the area.
To destroy each of the sealing stone, use a pyro character and burn them down.
You will find four seals in the first area.
To proceed ahead, go to the flower.
Play the lyre near the flower.
You will eventually see a new pathway for the remaining three seals.
For the seventh seal, you have to activate the Dendrograna first.
Use the lyre to activate it.
Then use the Dendrograna and a charged attack to solve the floating plant puzzle.
You will then see the path open. Go inside and destroy the last seal.
Return to Arama when you’re done.
Look for a way down and defeat the Ruin Grader
You will then be required to look for a way down. The only way is to attack the Ruin Grader but it won’t die.
Arama will eventually need to intervene again.
Talk to Arama once you end up in the new area.
Investigate the area
In this area, you have to investigate a number of spots. There are five murals to investigate and about four other spots in the vicinity.
Leave Aramuhukunda’s home
You will meet Aramuhukunda during the cutscene.
Leave his home to proceed further. The quest ends here.
