Dream Shards is one of the most valuable resources you can find in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
There are only a few ways to get Dream Shards in the game and the drop rate is low.
Here’s how you can get more Dream Shards in Dreamlight Valley.
Clear Night Thorns
The straightforward way of getting Dream Shards is by clearing Night Thorns that are scattered around the valley.
When you begin the game, the entire place is filled with Night Thorns. Clearing each Night Thorn has a chance of giving Dream Shards but the drop rate is low.
Also, once you’ve cleared all of them, it takes time for them to respawn.
From the mailbox
Another way of getting Dream Shards is via the mailbox. When you begin the game, you should receive around 40 Dream Shards in the mailbox.
Apart from that, they recently sent a mail saying there’s a balancing issue with the game that needs fixing. To compensate, they gave 25 Dream Shards as it’s needed for a later quest.
Note: Due to the rarity of Dream Shards, do not waste it by converting them to Dreamlight. You can easily get Dreamlight by completing goals.
From the ground
Dream shards seem to drop from shoveling the bulging parts of the ground as well.
