The Cage of Grief is a campaign quest under Act 5: Secrets Bartered, Fates Told in Diablo 4.
Your objective is to accompany your allies to the Hungering Swamp.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Cage of Grief in Diablo 4.
Head to the Hungering Swamp
Go east all the way to the Hungering Swamp as marked in the map below.
You’ll need to accompany Taissa and Donan there.
Enter the cave.
Bring Taissa and Donan to the ritual site
Inside the cave, explore the area until you find the ritual site.
Speak with Taissa
Talk to Taissa when you’ve arrived.
Collect a Yellow Lotus
There are two things you have to collect in this cave and both are at different locations.
One of them is the Yellow Lotus.
Look for the Yellow Lotus Growth which will be marked on your map when you’re near the area.
Collect Maggot Queen Ichor
The next thing you have to collect is the Maggot Queen Ichor and it’s located elsewhere.
Explore the map.
You’ll find the Maggot Queen (Elite). Slay the demon and pick up the ichor.
Place the ingredients into the pot
Head back to the ritual site and place the Maggot Queen Ichor and Yellow Lotus into the boiling pot.
Ignite swamp incense
Then, light up all three of the swamp incense hanging on the ceiling.
Enter the Fiery Portal
After the cutscene, enter the Fiery Portal.
Follow the Herald of Hatred
You will meet the Herald of Hatred again. Follow him.
Talk to him along the way.
Exit the Fiery Portal once it’s over.
Speak with Taissa
Talk to Taissa again after returning to the tower. The quest ends here and you’ll obtain XP and coins.
