Tapping the Grid is a side mission available in The Well in Starfield.
Your objective is to help Louisa Reyez track a power drain in The Well.

This mission actually starts from the activity “Investigate the Brown-outs in The Well”.
Head to The Well
First of all, head to The Well. It’s located at the side of the building called The Viewport. This building is quite near your ship when you landed in New Atlantis.
Go to the right side of it. You’ll see an elevator. Use it to go to The Well.
You will then see the NPC named Louisa Reyez.
Locate the Junction Box
This mission basically requires you to find Junction Boxes to investigate the power drain.
The first one is nearby.
The next one requires you to use the stairs and find it.
Continue to the third one as marked in the map.
Lastly, look for the Junction Box above the Trade Authority. The way in is via one of the sides and not the main entrance.
To get the Junction Box, you must first flip the switches of all four panels. You need four green lights to open the door.
Flip the switch of the Junction Box behind the door when you’re done.
Return to Louisa
Go back to Louisa Reyez to complete the quest.
